Advanced soil stabilisation solutions using injection technologies to improve ground strength, reduce settlement and support infrastructure.
What is Soil Stabilisation
Soil stabilisation is a geotechnical process aimed at improving the strength, stiffness and load-bearing capacity of weak, loose or unstable soils. It is used to enhance ground performance, reduce settlement and ensure the long-term stability of structures and infrastructure built on problematic soils.
In modern construction and infrastructure projects, soil stabilisation plays a critical role where natural ground conditions are insufficient to support structural loads or where soil behaviour may change due to moisture, groundwater or external loads. POLYJET applies advanced injection-based stabilisation technologies, including geopolymer and hydrogel systems, to modify soil properties directly in situ.
These methods allow engineers to improve soil structure, fill voids and increase density without excavation, heavy machinery or disruption to ongoing operations.
Soil stabilisation is particularly important in the United Arab Emirates, where sandy soils, reclaimed land and high groundwater levels create challenging conditions for construction and infrastructure projects.
Soil stabilisation is required when ground conditions compromise structural stability, load-bearing capacity or long-term performance of infrastructure and foundations.
When Soil Stabilisation is Required
Weak or Loose Soils
Loose or poorly compacted soils cannot support structural loads and may lead to deformation or failure. Soil stabilisation improves density and strength, ensuring reliable performance of foundations and infrastructure.
Uneven Settlement
Differential settlement causes structural stress, cracks and misalignment. Injection-based soil stabilisation allows precise correction of ground conditions and helps prevent further settlement.
Foundation Instability
Unstable foundations may result from inadequate soil bearing capacity or changes in ground conditions. Stabilisation techniques increase soil strength and restore foundation support without excavation.
High Groundwater Levels
Elevated groundwater weakens soils and reduces their load-bearing capacity. POLYJET injection systems stabilise soils and control water-related effects, making them suitable for UAE conditions.
Collapsible or Sandy Soils
Sandy and collapsible soils are common in desert environments and may lose stability under load or moisture changes. Soil stabilisation improves cohesion and structural integrity of these soils.
Void Formation Beneath Structures
Voids can develop due to erosion, washout or soil movement, leading to settlement and structural damage. Injection technologies fill voids and restore uniform ground support.
POLYJET Injection Technology
POLYJET uses advanced geopolymer and hydrogel injection systems to stabilise soils and control ground conditions. Injection materials expand, fill voids and improve soil structure, providing fast and controlled stabilisation with minimal disruption.
POLYJET applies a range of soil stabilisation methods depending on ground conditions, project requirements and hydrogeological factors.

Chemical Soil Stabilisation
Permeation Injection (Hydrogel)
Injection-based soil stabilisation involves introducing geopolymer or resin materials into the ground to improve soil structure and load-bearing capacity. The injected material expands, fills voids and densifies weak soils, providing fast and controlled stabilisation without excavation.
Chemical stabilisation modifies soil properties using binding agents that increase strength and reduce compressibility. This method is used where long-term improvement of soil performance is required, particularly in construction and infrastructure projects.
Permeation injection using PolyJet NA hydrogel is applied where conventional geotechnical methods are ineffective or impractical. The hydrogel penetrates soil pores, creating a uniform stabilising and sealing structure without disturbing the existing ground.
POLYJET soil stabilisation technologies are applied across a wide range of infrastructure and construction projects, delivering reliable performance in challenging ground conditions.
Applications of Soil Stabilisation
Soil stabilisation is widely used in infrastructure projects to improve subgrade performance, prevent settlement and ensure long-term structural stability.
POLYJET technologies are applied in transport infrastructure where ground conditions are variable or weak.
